The Asia-Pacific Region welcomed new team members who are stepping into vital strategic roles. Kafoa Muaror and his wife, Aggie, are field strategy coordinators for the Melanesia and South Pacific fields, and Roland Hearn has accepted the role of field strategy coordinator for Australia/New Zealand. Both positions were made effective 1 June.

In addition to these two roles, Bruce Allder also began serving as regional education coordinator 1 June. While serving as education coordinator, Allder will continue to serve as permanent part-time faculty at Nazarene Theological College in Brisbane, Australia.

The Muarors succeed Harmon and Cindy Schmelzenbach, who served in Melanesia/South Pacific for more than 10 years.

Hearn succeeds John and Vicki Moore, who served both as the Australia/New Zealand FSC and the regional education coordinator. Moore is transitioning to a role in Global Missions to help develop other FSCs and leaders.

Asia-Pacific Regional Director Mark Louw expressed his thanks to both the Schmelzenbachs and the Moores.

“Words are too empty to contain my gratitude,” Louw said. “They have served well and we have been blessed to serve with them.”

Louw also asked for prayer for the new team members during their transition into their new roles.
