In Memoriam: July 17, 2015
The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received July 13-17, 2015.
Marguerite (Stotler) Bambling, 91, of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, passed away July 19. She was the widow of Paul Bambling, who served in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York. Paul Bambling passed away in 2009.
Laddonia (Creech) Davis, 90, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away July 12. She was a retired minister, serving in Virginia and North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired minister and evangelist Harold Davis Sr., who served in Virginia and North Carolina. Harold Davis Sr. passed away in 2001.
Bobby Holsombeck, 82, of Cordova, Alabama, passed away July 14. He was a retired minister, serving in Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Holsombeck, in 2002.
Larry Lott, 75, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away July 13. He was the pastor of Kansas City, Missouri, Blue Hills Community Church of the Nazarene, where he served since 1977. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Lott. (story)
Russell Quantz, 96, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away July 15. He was a retired minister, serving in Alberta. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Quantz, in 2008.
Violet (Watson) Weeks, 92, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away July 15. She was the widow of retired minister and evangelist James Weeks, who served in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee. James Weeks passed away in 2008.
