The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 4-8 October 2021.

Velma Dittmer, 98, of Durham, North Carolina, passed away 28 September 2021. She was the widow of John Dittmer, a retired minister who served in Indiana and Illinois. John passed away in 2002.

Kenneth Ellis, 84, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away 4 October 2021. He was a retired minister who served in Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Janet Ellis.

Beatrice Hassinger, 85, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away 2 October 2021. She was the widow of Raymond Hassinger, a retired minister who served in Ohio. Raymond passed away in 2018.

Brian Loreg, 78, of Phillipsburg, Kansas, passed away 3 October 2021. He was the lead pastor of Gaylord Church of the Nazarene in Kansas, with previous service in Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Alda Loreg.

Helen Mays, 97, of Chilhowie, Virginia, passed away 5 October 2021. She was the widow of Sidney Mays, a retired minister who served in Virginia and Ohio. Sidney retired in 2004.

Juliene Munts, 57, of Grand Coulee, Washington, passed away 5 October 2021. She was the lead pastor of Grand Coulee Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her husband, Philip Munts.

Gregory Niver, 54, of Du Bois, Pennsylvania, passed away 4 October 2021. He was the lead pastor of DuBois Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Niver.

Stephen Proffitt, 67, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away 6 October 2021. He was a minister who served in Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, and California. He is survived by his wife, Berna Proffitt.

Manuel Sança Gomes, 77, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, passed away 4 October 2021. He was a minister serving at Providence Filadelpfia First Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Maria Sança Gomes.

Erwin Self, 96, of Vicksburg, Michigan, passed away 5 October 2021. He was a retired minister who served in Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Self.

Ruth Yates, 84, of Casey, Illinois, passed away 3 October 2021. She was a retired minister who served in Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Yates. James passed away in 2018.
