The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 29 September-2 October 2020.

Madeline Barnard, 87, of Southlake, Texas, passed away 14 September 2020. She was the wife of Thomas Barnard, a retired minister and educator who served in California, Oklahoma, and Massachusetts.

William Cocherell, 90, of Blanchard, Louisiana, passed away 30 September 2020. He was a retired minister who served in Louisiana and Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Cocherell. 

Linda Deffinger, 66, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away 24 September 2020. She was the wife of Bernie Deffinger, a retired minister who served in Tennessee and Alabama.

Gordon Gaines, 69, of Oakdale, California, passed away 27 September 2020. He was the husband of Marilyn Gaines, a minister serving at Oakdale Family Church of the Nazarene.

Nina Colby-Good, 91, of Graham, Washington, passed away 23 September 2020. She was the widow of Daniel Colby, a minister who served in Kansas. Daniel passed away in 1966. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Paul Good, who passed away in 2004.

Donald Kinyon, 87, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away 15 September 2020. He was a retired minister, who served in New Mexico and Washington. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Kinyon.

Bonnie Knudson, 97, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away 23 September 2020. She was the widow of Russell Knudson, a retired minister who served in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Illinois. Russell passed away in 1993.

Guadalupe Moreno, 74, of Plainview, Texas, passed away 22 September 2020. He was the pastor of Plainview Iglesia del Nazareno. He is survived by his wife, Lucia Moreno.

Billy Ponder, 77, of Whitehouse, Texas, passed away 22 September 2020. He was a retired minister who served in Georgia, Guam, Texas, and Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Janet Ponder.

Nancy Robinson, 71, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away 23 September 2020. She was the widow of Edwin Robinson, who served as a minister and educator in California, Illinois, Kansas, and Idaho, including as president of MidAmerica Nazarene University from 2005-2011. Edwin passed away in 2017.

Jose Rodriguez, 92, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away 24 September 2020. He was a minister and educator who served in California and Texas. He is survived by his wife, Lydia Rodriguez.

Bobbie Smith, 83, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away 28 September 2020. She was the wife of Gary Smith, a retired minister who served in Oklahoma and Louisiana.

Edith Taylor, 93, of Orlando, Florida, passed away 21 September 2020. She was the widow of Clayton Taylor, a retired minister who served in Florida. Clayton passed away in 2000.
