Families of the Kingdom Ministerial Vision Church of the Nazarene is a church-type mission located in the village of El Guarapo, Venezuela. Recently, a man gave them land to build a permanent church building.

Families of the Kingdom is pastored by Ogla Ortiz de Parra and Carlos Parra, who have worked in El Guarapo since 2019. El Guarapo is an agricultural community with an accessible road. However, public transport to access it is non-existent. 

On several occasions, the Parras have reached El Guarapo by walking or asking for a ride from drivers of trucks and motorcycles. However, this hasn’t discouraged the Parras to continue carrying the message to El Guarapo.

The church had been meeting in the house of a member of the church, but one day they were told they could no longer be there.

“From that moment, we began to pray for our own land to begin the construction of the church and for the future of being an organized Church of the Nazarene,” Ogla said. 

One day, a man who attended their congregation had heard that a man who had cattle and a plot of land was giving land so that locals who did not have houses could have the opportunity to build their own. So Ogla and the church began to pray, specifically placing this generous man in the hands of God.

When they went to speak with him to ask for a piece of land, they told him that they wanted to plant their church there. The Lord answered their prayers through that man, as he gave them a piece of the land to build the church. They have already begun building a fence and preparing the ground to build the church, thanks to some materials the district was able to provide for them.

“Thank God for touching this man's heart,” Ogla said. “What a great blessing!”
