Korea NYI returns to Thailand for missions trip

After Nazarene Youth International Korea (NYI) visited Thailand in January 2024 to launch its first missions trip in collaboration with Nazarene missionaries from South Korea, NYI Korea returned to Thailand in February.
This trip aimed to support new areas and local churches in Thailand.
From 17 to 21 February 2025, NYI Korea visited Thailand and held a Christian music concert in Northeast Thailand. The concert featured K-pop, Christian rap, beatboxing, and a skit. Approximately 400 people were able to hear the gospel through performances at four diverse venues: a school in Mahasarakham, a night market in Mahasarakham, another school in Huai Koeng, Udon Thani, and Huai Koeng Church of the Nazarene in Huai Koeng, Udon Thani.
The impact of the trip goes beyond the immediate effects of engagement and outreach. The team planted seeds of inspiration and hope within communities. For many attendees, the concert served as more than just a musical experience; it ignited a sense of curiosity about the Christian faith and what it holds for them. The enthusiasm exhibited by the NYI Korea team was infectious, compelling individuals to contemplate their spiritual journey while offering a unique platform for dialogue about faith.
A Korean missionary, Mireu Kim, said, “They have shown God’s love by having fellowship with the Thai people.”
Kim highlighted the profound moment when they shared a Christian song with members of a local Thai church, adding, “This is a powerful testament to the unity we can achieve in global collaboration.”
