For more than a decade, Vida Nueva Iglesia del Nazareno, located in Machiques, Venezuela, has shared the message of salvation through mass media such as television and radio.

With a vision focused on having their own radio station, the members of the church offered support with donations so Vida Nueva could purchase the necessary equipment for a radio station. Thanks to the donations, this dream is materializing for Vida Nueva; it will soon begin broadcasting.

According to Lead Pastor Edward Chavez, the rural location of the church presents challenges with internet connection. So to get the message to the locals and the many ethnic or tribal groups such as the Wayuu, Bari, and Yukpa, a medium such as radio is the best means of evangelism.

As an important step for the inaugural broadcast, the Vida Nueva Communications team carried out its first training — Introduction to Radio, to prepare and train operators, producers, and communicators of the new local station.

The training was held on Saturday, March 19, at the local church facilities, with the purpose of teaching the use of radio equipment, the technical and operational part, as well as an introduction to the location.

Radio Engineer Ángel Esteban Corona, assisted by 15 members of the Ministry of Communications, led the training.

"We rejoice in the Lord for the privilege of spreading the message of salvation through the radio, soon opening our radio station," Chavez said. As a district, we are grateful for the wonders that God is doing, because it is he who puts wanting as doing for his goodwill.”
