Eduardo Meza appointed strategy coordinator of Cono Sur field

Eduardo Meza was appointed field strategy coordinator (FSC) for the Cono Sur (South Cone) Field, which covers Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

The appointment was made by Global Missions Director Verne Ward in consultation with the Jurisdictional General Superintendent T. Scott Daniels following the recommendation of South America Regional Director Alessandro Polonio. Meza’s appointment begins on 1 April 2024.

Meza was born in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. He is a second-generation Nazarene, the son of Nazarene pastors. He was called to the ministry at the age of 15 and was ordained as a minister in the Church of the Nazarene at the age of 21.

Meza has a bachelor's degree in theology from the Nazarene Theological Seminary in Pilar, Argentina. He has served for more than 35 years in different areas of ministry. Together with his wife, they founded and pastored Iglesia del Nazareno El Sembrador in Guayaquil, Ecuador, for 19 years.

He also served as superintendent of the Costa District of Ecuador for 12 years, and since 2016, he has served as a missionary and holistic ministries coordinator for Uruguay. He was also superintendent of the Uruguay Sur District from 2020 to 2024.

Eduardo is married to Rocío, and they have three adult children and a granddaughter.
