Mária Gusztinné Tulipán elected new rector of EuNC
Mária Gusztinné Tulipán was elected the 12th rector of European Nazarene College on 25 March 2020.
Prior to her election, she served as pastor of the Budapest Church of the Nazarene in Hungary. She and her husband, Imre Gusztin, were instrumental in starting the work of the Church of the Nazarene in Hungary after their graduation from European Nazarene Bible College in 1996.
Gusztinné brings to her new role a rich experience in education, having been involved in various roles, especially as a teacher, administrator of the EuNC learning centre in Hungary, and as cluster chair on the EuNC Curriculum Committee in the area of ministerial skills.
She is a graduate of European Nazarene Bible College (Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Mission) and the London School of Theology (Master of Arts in Theological Education) and speaks three languages (Hungarian, English, and Russian). Her husband, Imre, serves as district superintendent in Hungary and they have one son, Rudolf, an ordained deacon and professional musician.
Gusztinné follows Klaus Arnold, who served as rector for 15 years before he was elected Global Education and Clergy Development director for the Church of the Nazarene.
