In Memoriam: October 9, 2015

The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received October 5-9, 2015.

René Acosta of the Dominican Republic passed away October 7. He was superintendent of the Dominican Republic Central District. He is survived by his wife, Carmen. More information will be posted as it is made available.

Marjorie Goslaw, 95, of Landers, California, passed away October 5. She was the widow of retired minister and district superintendent Robert Goslaw, who served in California and led the New York and Pittsburgh districts. Robert Goslaw passed away in 1997.

Ira "Carl" Koons, 83, of Ogden, Utah, passed away September 30. He was a retired minister, serving in California, Minnesota, Montana, Utah, and Nevada. He is survived by his wife, Audrey (Working) Koons.

Dale Orihood, 83, of London, Ohio, passed away October 2. He was a minister and evangelist, previously serving in Ohio and West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Orihood, in 2009.

B. J. Slothower, 103, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away October 7. He was a retired minister, serving in Kansas and Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife, retired minister and educator B. Maxine Slothower, in 2009.
