La bandera de Perú tiene tres franjas verticales: dos rojas y una blanca. El color rojo, según los historiadores, representa la sangre derramada de miles de héroes y mártires que dieron la vida por defender su patria y su gente. Mientras que el color blanco representa la libertad, justicia y paz en Perú. El escudo de armas tiene una vicuña y un árbol de la quina, símbolos importantes de Perú y una cornucopia centralizada, representando la prosperidad.
