In Memoriam: 19 July 2019

The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 15-19 July 2019.

Nina Lovell Boone, 87, of McComb, Mississippi, passed away 16 July. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Lovell, who served in Mississippi. Louis Lovell passed away in 2007.

Elsie (Moore) Caldwell, 88, of Florence, Oregon, passed away 14 July. She was preceded in death by her first husband, retired minister Elwin Moore, who served in Idaho, Utah, and Oregon. Elwin Moore passed away in 2003. She is survived by her husband, Seth Caldwell.

Richard Gatlin, 76, of Pahrump, Nevada, passed away 5 July. He was a retired minister, serving in California, Wyoming, Illinois, and Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Gatlin.

John Jones, 80, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away 5 July. He was a retired minister, serving in Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jones.

Erma (Speck) Madden, 85, of Miamisburg, Ohio, passed away 6 July. She was the wife of retired minister and evangelist Joseph Madden, who served in Ohio.

Shelley Mauldin, 61, of Bethany, Oklahoma, passed away 12 July. She was the wife of retired minister Lee Mauldin, who served in Oklahoma.

Christelle Mills, 90, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away 10 July. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired minister Harold Mills, who served in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, and Florida.

W. Leon Thomas, 76, of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, passed away 12 July. He was a retired minister, serving in Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Betty Thomas.
