Ohio church partners with food pantry to help people affected by heroin epidemic

Drexel, Ohio

(Fox45, 8 July) It's an area dealing with heroin overdoses and deaths.

In fact, one street in Drexel has been dubbed "Morgue Avenue."

A local church is hoping it's found a way to help some of those struggling get their lives on the right path.

The church pastor said people in Drexel feel they've been given up on.

He wants to show them that's not true.

South Africa youth pray against crime

Cape Town, South Africa

(News24, 4 July) Youngsters from crime-ridden communities have come together to pray against crime.

Younger members of different churches in Factreton, Kensington and Maitland have started a group called United Youth Movement.

The members are all younger than 35.

Involved churches include Church of the Nazarene, Assembly of God and Pentecostal Church.
