On Friday, March 4, 2022, Dr. Linda Hardin, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after her months-long struggle with cancer. Linda’s ministry efforts and accomplishments are well known to those who served with her at the Church of the Nazarene’s headquarters and the Global Ministry Center.
For nearly 30 years of ministry, Dr. Linda Hardin served as the coordinator of Women, Singles, and Young Adult ministries for SDMI, now Nazarene Discipleship International. Linda was known for her vision, compassion, and passion she had for singles, young adults, and women’s ministry.

After 20 years with the Metropolitan School District of Decatur Township, Linda moved to the global headquarters of the Church of the Nazarene in 1988. There she served as the coordinator of Women, Singles, and Young Adult Ministries until her retirement. After her retirement, Linda continued to serve as a valued volunteer for the SDMI office until a few months after her diagnosis with pancreatic cancer.
