Vidal Cole will be the field strategy coordinator of the new Africa West Anglophone Field as announced by Africa Regional Director Daniel Gomis.

Recently, the Board of General Superintendents approved the restructuring of the Africa West Field to become two fields: The Africa West Francophone Field and Africa West Anglophone Field. Cole currently serves as assistant to Africa West Field Strategy Coordinator Moise Toumoudagou, helping to lead the Anglophone countries prior to the restructuring.

“He is passionate about church planting, preaching and teaching the glad message of holiness,” Gomis said. “He strongly believes in the next generation of leaders and invests time working with young people and pastors through mentoring and leadership development.”

Cole and his wife, Marie, began their ministry as pastors of Overcomers Assembly Church of the Nazarene in Sierra Leone in 1995. In 2014, Vidal was appointed superintendent of the Sierra Leone District, while Marie served as the district’s Nazarene Missions International president. She is passionate about working with women and children.

“Vidal and Marie Cole complement each other and together are a strong team,” Gomis said. “They believe that God continues to call His people to participate in His mission around the world and feel privileged to respond to His call to serve.”

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
