More than 50 young people from Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala participated in a week of learning, fellowship, and worship at the CREACOM Communications Camp from May 6-11, 2025.

For six intensive days, young people eager to learn about technology gathered at the Nazarene Theological Seminary Convention Center in Guatemala City to take part in a unique experience: the CREACOM Communications Camp.

Along with a team from Olivet Nazarene University, led by Brian Utter, global coordinator of World Mission Broadcasts (WMB) for the Church of the Nazarene, participants explored diverse areas of communication such as radio, photography, podcasts, video, digital marketing, social media, and public speaking. The focus was clear: to equip them to share the gospel message in creative, relevant, and effective ways.

The event was attended by the Regional Communications Coordinator Carlos Salazar and the North Central Field Communications Coordinator Hugo Lucero. Both encouraged the young people to use their gifts to communicate the good news of the Kingdom with excellence and commitment.

One of the key moments was the reopening of Nazarene Studio, a completely renovated space thanks to the collaboration of WMB, Olivet Nazarene University, and the North Central Area of the Mesoamerica Region. The studio is an emerging training and audiovisual production center serving the mission of the church.

The results of the youngsters’ learning were quickly apparent. In just a few days of training, participants produced impressive, high-quality communication materials. For many, it was their first experience working with professional teams, yet they created impactful and edifying content.

In addition to technical training, the daily devotionals offered a meaningful space for reflection and spiritual renewal. Many young people responded to God's call, committing to serve him through this strategic ministry of communication.

Carlos Cordero, strategy coordinator for the North Central Field, enthusiastically expressed his desire to continue investing in the next generations: "Our commitment is to share Jesus in every way possible, and we want to put these resources in the hands of young people to strengthen their growth and service in this valuable ministry."
