The Church of the Nazarene’s Stories series shares how lives are being transformed through ministry efforts around the globe.
These stories are made possible thanks to the prayers, involvement, and support of Nazarenes worldwide through the World Evangelism Fund.
Volume 3 - 2018
Cananaoan Tribal Church
When Jhelenn and Ernesto received a call to become missionaries to the Cananaoan tribe in Pampanga, Philippines, they were hesitant to move to the remote, impoverished location. After interacting with local children, God opened their hearts and is using them to help transform the community.
Follow the Call
Brian Bowers thought he understood the call God placed on his life during a mission trip in Madagascar. After his marriage, health, and faith began to crumble, Brian heard God ask him a question that changed the course of his life.
Give Thanks 2018: David’s Promise
At JaxNaz Church in Jackson, Michigan, USA, adults with special needs have found a new way to serve through a unique day program. From tying blankets for children in foster care to creating recipes for a community cookbook, the members of David’s Promise are making a difference and gaining fulfillment.
Legacy of Love
Evelin’s life was forever changed when she received a sponsor through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries. She now serves as a volunteer teacher at the Center for Integrated Child Development in La Chorrera, Panama, giving back through the program that led her to Christ.
Nazareno and Yamila grew up attending church in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but left the church in early adulthood. After a serious car accident, Nazareno struggled with feelings of depression. It wasn’t until a neighbor introduced them to the Church of the Nazarene that their hearts for the Lord were renewed.
