Volunteers reach community, receive call to missions in Mexico

by | 06 Sep 2018

Nearly 20 volunteer missionaries served through Project Paul 5-12 August in Tuxtla Chico, Mexico.

The team served in the 15 de Abril, La Granja, San Joaquín, and Manuel Lazos communities, and throughout the week 17 people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and 23 people agreed to receive a follow-up to hear more about a life in Christ.

“The Rains of Grace Church and its pastor, Pablo Zunun, will give a follow-up visit to those who asked for one,” said Andrea Margarita López Miguel, Global Missions coordinator for the Mexico Southern Border District. “The pastor and his wife, Xochitl Ramírez, are very happy and thankful to God, the district, and every person who prayed for this project.”

In addition to reaching many people in the city of Tuxtla Chico, several team members encountered God as well.

“During the project, many of the volunteers felt a call to serve the Lord through missions work,” Miguel said. “They committed to pray to go wherever God takes them.”
