Mexico church members help meet medical need

by | 20 Jun 2018

Three Nazarenes from the Eternal Father Church of the Nazarene on Mexico's Western District participated in a professional medical certification training this month.

The members can now join the Nazarene Medical Brigade, a group that specializes in providing medical support to others in the area who can't afford to see a medical doctor.

Without these trained individuals, there would be little help for those who suffer medical emergencies in the area.

"We are happy to know that there are more and more young volunteers receiving training in areas that will enable us to deliver a timely, holistic response to emergencies," said Cutberto Tenorio, Mexico North Area Nazarene Compassionate Ministries coordinator.

The training took place in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and was led by the Mexican federal police force, Gendarmería Nacional, and the local emergency management agency, Coordinación de Protección Civil.
