ENC seeks new president

ENC seeks new president

by | 13 Dec 2016

Eastern Nazarene College is seeking applications and nominations for its next president, who will possess the background and skills to lead the college in fulfilling its mission.

From its inception in 1900 to the present day, the college has pursued a mission of excellence in education in an atmosphere of Christian faith. ENC is one of eight liberal arts colleges and universities in the United States in partnership with the Church of the Nazarene and its global mission. The college's location on the south shore of Boston gives it access to educational, cultural, historical, and scientific hubs of the world. It is one of the most culturally diverse Christian colleges in the nation.  The strength of this diversity provides a deeply engaging educational experience that reflects the college’s Christian values.

Traditional liberal arts general education is at the core of ENC's mission. The college offers traditional undergraduate programs (current enrollment of 555), adult studies accelerated programs (current enrollment of 250), and graduate programs (current enrollment of 80) in marriage and family therapy, education, and management.

The college is coeducational and welcomes all, regardless of race, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability, veteran status, or any other category protected by law. Although many students come from a Nazarene church background, over 30 denominations are represented.

Candidate screening will begin immediately and will continue until an appointment is made. Those interested are encouraged to submit materials (letter of interest, resume or curriculum vitae, and names and contact information of at least four professional references) by February 1, 2017. All communication will be treated confidentially.

All nominations and inquiries should be directed electronically to Russell Long, chair of the ENC Board of Trustees and presidential search committee, at russ.long@enc.edu.
