Minist\u00e9rios Nazarenos Compassivos<\/a> e Miss\u00f5es Nazarenas Internacionais<\/a> forneceram uma oficina de resposta a desastres para 48 participantes na Igreja de Vida Abundante do Nazareno de Levittown no Distrito Leste de Porto Rico em 23 de junho.<\/p>\n

Nomeado a Oficina de Prepara\u00e7\u00e3o para Desastres e Recupera\u00e7\u00e3o, o evento se concent rou em permitir que leigos e clero locais  respondam \u00e0 amea\u00e7a sempre presente  de desastres naturais em Porto Rico. O minist\u00e9rio local ACUDE (Alian\u00e7a de Comunidades de F\u00e9 Unidas de Emerg\u00eancia) tornou a oficina poss\u00edvel fornecendo o treinamento para os participantes.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez, coordenador NCM para o Distrito Leste, enfatiza o qu\u00e3o importante esta oficina \u00e9 para Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n

Para nosso distrito, este \u00e9 apenas o in\u00edcio de uma grande miss\u00e3o e responsabilidade para desenvolver como uma igreja uma resposta imediata a qualquer evento natural que amea\u00e7a ou pode afetar as fam\u00edlias nas comunidades”, disse Rodr\u00edguez.<\/p>\n

Em m\u00e9dia, Porto Rico experimenta uma tempestade tropical apenas uma vez a cada cinco anos<\/a>, tornando-o um alvo menos frequente do que outros pa\u00edses tropicais, mas \u00e0 luz do recente furac\u00e3o<\/a> que devastou a ilha, membros da igreja local nunca podem estar preparados demais para responder  em tempos tr\u00e1gicos.<\/p>\n
