Paul Wesley Gamertsfelder, 92, faleceu 14 de dezembro de 2020. Gamertsfelder era um optometrista, que fundou Trabalho e Testemunho para a Igreja do Nazareno.<\/p>\n

Paul nasceu para Raymond e Beulah Gamertsfelder em 2 de abril de 1928. Ele cresceu em Coshocton, Ohio, se formando na escola secund\u00e1ria local. Ele foi para participar da Universidade Olivet Nazarene e eventualmente se formou na Escola de Optometria da Universidade Estadual de Ohio. Ele praticou optometria em Columbus por mais de 40 anos, e at\u00e9 entrou nas Reservas da Marinha, se tornando um Comandante antes de se aposentar. <\/p>\n

Dr. Paul, como ele era carinhosamente conhecido, era o primeiro homem eleito para servir no Conselho Global NMI. Ele foi encarregado de obter homens envolvidos em trabalho de miss\u00f5es e, assim, fundou o programa Homens em Miss\u00f5es em 1973. Isso eventualmente se tornaria o que conhecemos como Trabalho e Testemunho. <\/p>\n

Gamertsfelder liderou mais de 60 viagens de miss\u00f5es para todas as regi\u00f5es do mundo. Seu programa “Miss\u00e3o de Visa” coletou \u00f3culos usados, onde ele os doou para pessoas que ele encontrou no campo de miss\u00e3o que precisava deles. Em 2013, o Centro de Miss\u00e3o Gamertsfelder abriu em Frome, Jamaica, que abriga instala\u00e7\u00f5es m\u00e9dicas, \u00f3pticas, dentais e educacionais. <\/p>\n

Ele foi precedido em morte por duas esposas, Janet Welton Gamertsfelder e Wanda Ritzman Gamertsfelder, duas irm\u00e3s, Ruth Bachman e Mary Park, e seu irm\u00e3o, John Gamertsfelder.<\/p>\n

Ele sobreviveu por sua esposa, Ruth Gamertsfelder, sua filha, Adria, seu filho, Thomas, e um irm\u00e3o, Karl; seis netos; 10 bisnetos, e muitas sobrinhas, sobrinhos, enteados e enteados.<\/p>\n
