Metcalf foi nomeado superintendente &nbsp;do Distrito Upstate de Nova York. A nomea\u00e7\u00e3o foi feita pela Superintendente Geral Carla Sunberg em consulta com o Comit\u00ea Consultivo do Distrito Upstate de Nova York, Diretor Regional EUA \/ Canad\u00e1 Stan Reeder, e o Conselho de Superintendentes Gerais.<\/p>\n<p>Estou animado e honrado para ser parceiro na miss\u00e3o de Deus com o Distrito Upstate de Nova York&#8221;, disse Metcalf. A Igreja do Nazareno me levantou, me equipou e me empoderou para ser fiel ao chamado de Deus em minha vida. Servir nesta nova maneira \u00e9 uma oportunidade de devolver a uma igreja que me ensinou a amar Jesus com tudo que sou, e amar meu vizinho como eu mesmo.<\/p>\n<p>Metcalf substituir\u00e1 Newell Smith, que serviu como superintendente interino desde junho de 2020, assumindo o cargo em 1 de junho de 2021. Metcalf ser\u00e1 eleg\u00edvel para reelei\u00e7\u00e3o na Assembleia de Distrito 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Metcalf \u00e9 um \u00e9lder de quarta gera\u00e7\u00e3o na Igreja do Nazareno. Ela se formou na Universidade Nazarena Noroeste em 2000 com um grau de bacharel em estudos religiosos e recebeu seu mestrado de divindade do Semin\u00e1rio Teol\u00f3gico Nazareno em 2004. Atualmente, ela est\u00e1 perseguindo seu grau de doutor de minist\u00e9rio de NTS.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ela e seu marido, Dustin Metcalf, co-pastor na Calif\u00f3rnia e Idaho, mais recentemente servindo como co-capel\u00e3es na Universidade Nazarena Noroeste.
