Stanley Storey, um ministro aposentado e mission\u00e1rio, faleceu 18 de maio. Ele era 90.<\/p>\n

Nascido em Lansing, Michigan,  6 de outubro de 1926, ele era o filho de Allen e Alma Storey. Quando a Grande De press\u00e3o come\u00e7ou em 1929, a fam\u00edlia Storey se mudou para o Texas. Em 1934, os Storeys se mudaram para Burbank, Calif\u00f3rnia, e  durante Segunda Guerra  Mundial os Storeys viveram em Ohio, onde Stanley se formou no ensino m\u00e9dio em 1945. A fam\u00edlia se mudou de volta para a Calif\u00f3rnia e Stanley participou de Pasadena Nazarene College (agora Universidade Point Loma Nazarene), se  formando em 1949  com um Bacharel  em Artes e um grau de Mestrado em Artes em 1956. <\/p>\n

Durante seu segundo ano de faculdade, ele conheceu Norma Jeanne Pults. Ambos participaram da Igreja Mexicana Boyle Heights, onde eles aperfei\u00e7oaram seu espanhol. Eles se casaram 14 de abril de 1949. Stanley come\u00e7ou seu minist\u00e9rio como um pastor interino na Igreja Mexicana Boyle Heights, seguido por pastor a Igreja Upland Mexicana. Ele serviu durante o Waro Coreano  como um corpo de hospital da  Marinha dos EUA. Ele foi descartado em seu anivers\u00e1rio, 6 de outubro de 1954. <\/p>\n

Em janeiro de 1956, Stanley  e Norma receberam um telegrama do Departamento de Miss\u00f5es Mundiais Nazarenas, perguntando se eles ainda estavam interessados em trabalho mission\u00e1rio. Eles aceitaram. Stanley foi ordenado e eles fizeram preparativos para ir para a Guatemala. Eles serviram na Guatemala, El Salvador e Honduras por 38 anos. Suas designa\u00e7\u00f5es  como um mission\u00e1rio inclu\u00edram servir em escolas b\u00edblicas  e um orfanato, construindo igrejas, pastorado, ensino, equipes l\u00edderes de Trabalho e Testemunho, coordenando equipes m\u00e9dicas e dentais, e servindo como superintendente de distrito  e tesoureiro regional.  Between1986 e 1994, ele coordenou 106 equipes que constru\u00edram 86 projetos. Ele trabalhou com 2.000 membros de equipe. <\/p>\n

Stanley e Norma se aposentaram 1 de janeiro de  1995 depois de 38 anos de servi\u00e7o mission\u00e1rio. Eles continuaram servindo na Comunidade Golden Hills do Nazareno por 13 anos  e estavam envolvidos com minist\u00e9rios compassivos. Em junho de 2007, eles se mudaram para Rolla, Missouri, para viver perto de sua filha. Eles estavam ativos na Igreja Rolla do Nazareno. Seu movimento final era para Frisco, Texas, onde eles participaram e desfrutaram da irmandade de irm\u00e3os e irm\u00e3s em Cristo na Igreja NewStart-Frisco do Nazareno. <\/p>\n

Stanley sobreviveu por sua esposa de 68 anos, Norma; um irm\u00e3o, Lee Storey; dois filhos, Marlene Lilliker e Victor Storey; um neto adotivo, Jose David Chavarria, e dezenas de amigos muito pr\u00f3ximos na Calif\u00f3rnia, Missouri, Texas e Am\u00e9rica Central. <\/p>\n

Um servi\u00e7o funeral ser\u00e1 realizado 11 a.m., 7 de junho na Igreja do Nazareno, 1513 S. Belt Line Rd., Grand Prairie, Texas, 75051. Honras militares completas seguir\u00e3o o funeral no Cemit\u00e9rio Nacional de Veteranos Dallas-Fort Worth.<\/p>\n
