Samuel Barber foi eleito superintendente do Distrito Central Sul de Ohio em 22 de abril de 2022. Barber atualmente serve como pastor principal na Igreja Central do Nazareno em Lenexa, Kansas. <\/p>\n

Minha esposa, Jill, e eu somos profundamente gratos pelo tempo que t\u00ednhamos com a Igreja Central em Lenexa e estamos ansiosos para servir os pastores e pessoas de Ohio Central do Sul”, disse Barber. Esperamos vir ao lado de igrejas Central do Sul para nutrir o tipo de trabalho em equipe que expande o alcance e efic\u00e1cia do reino de Deus.<\/p>\n

Ele substituir\u00e1 Trevor Johnston, que est\u00e1 se aposentando depois de liderar o distrito desde 2008. Sam come\u00e7ar\u00e1 sua nova designa\u00e7\u00e3o 1 de junho de 2022.<\/p>\n

Sam participou da Universidade Mount Vernon Nazarene, se formando com um grau de bacharel em psicologia em 1989. Ele se juntou \u00e0 equipe pastoral na Warren First Church do Nazareno em Ohio, antes de ser escolhido para pastor Louisville do Nazareno (Agora Shepherd’s Hill) em Ohio, servindo de 1991-1997.<\/p>\n

Durante esse tempo, ele ganhou um grau de mestrado em minist\u00e9rios crist\u00e3os e lideran\u00e7a da igreja da Universidade Malone. Em 1999, Sam se mudou para Carolina do Norte para completar seu grau de mestrado em estudos teol\u00f3gicos da Universidade Duke. Enquanto completava seus estudos, ele serviu na Igreja Elon Power Line do Nazareno at\u00e9 2003. <\/p>\n

Sam retornou a seu estado natal de Ohio para o pastor Troy Primeira Igreja do Nazareno (2003-2007) e Columbus Shepherd do Nazareno (2007-2014). Em 2014, ele e Jill se mudaram para Lenexa, Kansas, para pastor Central do Nazareno. Enquanto serviu em Kansas City, ele ganhou seu Doutor  de Minist\u00e9rio do Semin\u00e1rio Teol\u00f3gico Nazareno em 2020.<\/p>\n
