Carol Hunton, 86, de Overland Park, Kansas, faleceu 7 de abril de 2024. Ela era uma mission\u00e1ria aposentada que serviu em Malawi, Z\u00e2mbia, Rod\u00e9sia (agora Zimb\u00e1bue) e Austr\u00e1lia.<\/p>\n

Carol Jeanne Schoenfeldt nasceu 5 de dezembro de 1937 para Martin e Lucille Schoenfeldt. Depois de participar da Universidade Estadual de Kansas e da Universidade de Kansas para estudar tecnologia m\u00e9dica, ela retornou a Kansas City, onde ela conheceu o amor de sua vida, Jay Hunton.<\/p>\n

Carol e Jay eram casados 10 de junho de 1960 e come\u00e7aram sua vida de minist\u00e9rio e servi\u00e7o para a igreja. Para os pr\u00f3ximos 39 anos, ela serviu ao lado de Jay como o chamado de Deus os levou de igrejas de pastorado em Maine e Kansas para servir como mission\u00e1rios em Z\u00e2mbia, Malawi e Rhodesia.<\/p>\n

Depois de retornar brevemente a Kansas City, eles foram enviados de volta para o campo de miss\u00f5es na \u00c1frica Central antes de Jay ser nomeado superintendente do Distrito Sul da Austr\u00e1lia em 1977. Eles serviram l\u00e1 at\u00e9 1982, quando eles retornaram \u00e0 \u00e1rea de Kansas City como pastores de Nall Avenue do Nazareno.<\/p>\n

Sua pr\u00f3xima jornada os levou para Schaffhausen, Su\u00ed\u00e7a, onde Jay foi chamado para ser presidente do Col\u00e9gio B\u00edblico Europeu. Eles retornaram aos Estados Unidos mais uma vez, servindo na Igreja Santa Rosa do Nazareno na Calif\u00f3rnia antes de se aposentar em 1999.<\/p>\n

Ela exemplificou gra\u00e7a, hospitalidade e amor para todos com que ela veio em contato. Ela nunca conheceu um estranho, apenas seu pr\u00f3ximo convidado de jantar.<\/p>\n

Carol foi precedida em morte por seus pais, Martin e Lucille Schoenfeldt, e irm\u00e3 Gayle (Schoenfeldt) Glass.<\/p>\n

Ela sobreviveu por seu marido, Jay Hunton; irm\u00e3, Kathy (Schoenfeldt) Kupinski; filhas, Heather (Hunton) Holbert e Heidi (Hunton) Irwin; sete netos; sete grandes netos, e muitos sobrinhos e sobrinhas.<\/p>\n
