O Conselho de Superintendentes Gerais (BGS) anunciou a elei\u00e7\u00e3o de Samuel Barber como diretor global de Discipleship Nazareno Internacional (NDI), eficaz 1 de agosto de 2024.<\/p>\n

Barber atualmente serve como superintendente do Distrito Central Sul de Ohio.<\/p>\n

Sam Barber tem um registro comprovado para discipulado de santidade como um pastor e superintendente de distrito”, disse o Superintendente Geral David Busic. Ele \u00e9 respeitado por l\u00edderes globais NDI por seu ensino, escrita e defesa para discipulado Nazareno em todo o mundo. O BGS est\u00e1 confiante que ele continuar\u00e1 a construir no forte impulso que Scott Rainey e o Conselho Global NDI ajudou a criar para Jornada de Gra\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

Barber substitui Scott Rainey, que serviu como diretor global NDI de 2018 a 2024. Sam e sua esposa, Jill, atualmente residem em Grove City, Ohio.<\/p>\n

Sam participou da Universidade Mount Vernon Nazarene, se formando com um grau de bacharel em psicologia em 1989. Ele se juntou \u00e0 equipe pastoral na Warren Primeira Igreja do Nazareno em Ohio antes de pastor Louisville do Nazareno (agora Shepherd’s Hill) em Ohio, servindo de 1991 a 1997.<\/p>\n

Durante esse tempo, ele ganhou um grau de mestrado em minist\u00e9rios crist\u00e3os e lideran\u00e7a da igreja da Universidade Malone. Em 1999, Sam se mudou para Carolina do Norte para completar seu grau de mestrado em estudos teol\u00f3gicos da Universidade Duke. Enquanto completava seus estudos, ele serviu na Igreja Elon Power Line do Nazareno at\u00e9 2003.<\/p>\n

Sam retornou a seu estado natal de Ohio para o pastor Troy Primeira Igreja do Nazareno (2003-2007) e Columbus Shepherd do Nazareno (2007-2014). Em 2014, ele se mudou para Lenexa, Kansas, para pastor Igreja Central do Nazareno. Enquanto serviu em Kansas City, ele ganhou seu Doutor em Minist\u00e9rio do Semin\u00e1rio Teol\u00f3gico Nazareno em 2020.<\/p>\n
