Ramesh Pathara serves as a Field Finance Coordinator for India and South Asia Fields. Ramesh comes from an economically backward background, and had challenges meeting basic needs in the childhood. He accepted the Lord and answered to God’s call in his college days. He has 17-year experience creating organizational strategy and implementing internal audits, internal controls, accounting processes, and budgeting to ensure good governance, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance of nonprofit organizations internationally working with different cultures around the world. Prior coming to the Church, he served in Compassion International for more than 14 years on risk management department. He is a board member of Reynold Memorial Hospital and Nazarene Compassionate Ministry India and other well-known Christian organizations in India. He is an ordained elder from Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Chennai, under Eastern Tamil Nadu District of India. Ramesh has a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Accounting, and Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Madras; also he is a Certified Internal Auditor. In addition, he has Master’s degree in Divinity at the Hindustan Bible Institute and College. He is strong in homiletics and hermeneutics of Scriptures from biblical languages. His wife Karuna Ramesh hails from a theological background with Bachelor of Theology and Bachelor of Divinity, and Master in Arts (Christian Studies) from the University of Madras. She was a youth president in the church and currently serves as Sunday school teacher in the local church. She served as a group leader in Bible Study Fellowship to support women study the bible systematically. She is passionate and involves in bible teaching and in Sunday school ministry as well.
Ramesh and Karuna are blessed with two boys — John, (16 years) in high school and Danny, (9 years) in Grade 4. Currently, they live in Chennai, India. The mixture of sound theological base, professionalism and passion to serve God in Ramesh’s family brings a unique skill-set for missions with spiritual integrity and professional stewardship.
