Todd and Angela Monroe became missionaries with the Church of the Nazarene in Africa in 2018. There, they serve on the Communications team telling stories of what God is doing around the Africa region.
Todd and Angela met while growing up in Auburn, California and both attended Northwest Nazarene University, graduating with degrees in Mass Communications (Todd) and Music Theory and Composition and Christian Ministries (Angela). They were married in 2014. Throughout college and the years following, they had explored their calling to ministry through video and music, which landed them in this position serving the Africa region.
Angela began feeling a call to ministry in high school when she learned to play the guitar, and felt a clearer call in her sophomore year of college. She loves to explore different areas of ministry and feels God calling her to enter the mission field. She is excited to begin this new role in missions on the Africa region. She will work with the regional office and Communications team in discipleship and administration while traveling throughout the region.
Todd felt a call to missions in college while working at a video editing internship at Mission Aviation Fellowship. There, he saw how people were being connected through stories and felt called to use his skills to connect people. Todd will be serving the Communications team in video production, telling the stories of what God is doing in the Africa region through photo and video.
Both Todd and Angela are passionate about using the gifts that God has given them to serve in creative missions. They are passionate about traveling, and are excited to see a new part of the world through this position. They would invite your prayers and support as they explore this calling to serve the global church.
