En juin 2017 pendant l’ Assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale et les conventions<\/a> \u00e0 Indianapolis, Indiana, Linda Dortch \u00ab vient de se produire \u00bb de s’asseoir sur un banc dans la cabine de la r\u00e9gion Asie-Pacifique et un  missionnaire \u00ab vient de se produire \u00bb de marcher et de commencer une conversation sur le minist\u00e8re interculturel.<\/p>\n

Le missionnaire \u00e9tait David Potter, qui, avec sa femme, Sylvia, aide \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper l’\u00c9glise du Nazar\u00e9en dans la nation insulaire de Vanuatu. Plus tard cette semaine-l\u00e0, les Potters ont partag\u00e9  avec Linda et son mari, Jim, sur le besoin pour quelqu’un d’enseigne r l’anglais au Coll\u00e8ge th\u00e9ologique nazar\u00e9en du Pacifique sud<\/a>. \u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que Linda a une exp\u00e9rience \u00e9tendue en tant que professeur d’anglais deuxi\u00e8me langue (ESL), elle et Jim ont accept\u00e9 de prier sur ce besoin.<\/p>\n

Au cours des semaines suivantes, la fr\u00e9quence des courriels et des pri\u00e8res est devenue plus intense alors que Jim et Linda exploraient cette possibilit\u00e9. Le point de tournant est venu un jour lorsqu’ils se sont souvenus de leurs propres luttes pour apprendre \u00e0 parler espagnol.<\/p>\n

Chaque fois que Dieu a plac\u00e9 un enseignant, un tuteur, une classe, une opportunit\u00e9 pour nous de faire avancer notre chemin vers le prochain pied en espagnol, nous avons c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le couple. Que faire si ces apprenants anglais au Vanuatu se sentent comme nous nous sentons ? Que faire s’ils ont besoin de quelqu’un pour les aider \u00e0 faire avancer leur chemin vers leur prochain pied en anglais ? \u00ab\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jim et Linda savaient que Dieu pouvait utiliser d’autres personnes pour aller et enseigner, mais ils ont continu\u00e9 \u00e0 penser \u00e0 la conversation qui \u00ab vient de se produire \u00bb sur le banc \u00e0 l’Assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s beaucoup de pri\u00e8re, Jim et Linda ont dit cela  une affectation \u00e0 court terme. Le 23 janvier, le couple a vol\u00e9 au Vanuatu o\u00f9 ils sont maintenant sur une affectation de deux mois en tant que professeurs d’anglais au SPNTC. Ils aident \u00e9galement avec les groupes de conversation anglais en tant que programme de sensibilisation pour l’\u00c9glise locale du Nazar\u00e9en.<\/p>\n
