Ce n’est pas chaque jour que les r\u00eaves de quelques membres d’un groupe de jeunes de l’\u00c9glise se transforment en un long film, mais Richie Johns, de 18 ans, a accompli juste cela avec le soutien de l’\u00c9glise communautaire Rush du Nazar\u00e9en. RUTH : UN VOYAGE FID\u00c8<\/a> <\/em> le sur DVD et en streaming Web le 18 ao\u00fbt.<\/p>\n

Le drame de 92 minutes  est un recontage moderne du livre de Ruth. Il est le premier film produit par l’\u00c9glise et a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crit et dirig\u00e9 par Johns. <\/p>\n

Ruth<\/em>a fait sa  premi\u00e8re en  avril avec 12 spectacles \u00e0 New Philadelphie, Cin\u00e9ma Quaker d’Ohio.<\/p>\n

Tourn\u00e9 dans l’Ohio rural, l’id\u00e9e du projet est venue pendant un voyage de l’\u00c9glise lorsque le groupe a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 qu’il serait amusant de faire un film chr\u00e9tien modernis\u00e9. Johns et ses producteurs associ\u00e9s \u00e9ventuels, Samuel et Gabriel Brewer, ont pens\u00e9 \u00e0 des histoires bibliques potentielles qui pourraient \u00eatre faites en une adaptation moderne.<\/p>\n

Il y a tellement d’histoires \u00e0 \u00eatre dites, mais j’ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 que j’aimerais essayer l’histoire de Ruth \u00e0 cause de ses le\u00e7ons dans la foi \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Johns.  <\/p>\n

Johns a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9crire le script en 2015, le tournage a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 l’\u00e9t\u00e9 2016 et la production a \u00e9t\u00e9 envelopp\u00e9e ce printemps dernier.<\/p>\n

Dans l’histoire mise \u00e0 jour, Ruth se d\u00e9place \u00e0 la maison pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente de sa belle-m\u00e8re Naomi \u00e0 Bethlehem, Pennsylvanie. Tout en che rchant une forme de revenu, Ruth tr\u00e9 buche sur B & B Manufacturing, poss\u00e9d\u00e9 et exploit\u00e9 par Boaz. <\/p>\n

Johns a lanc\u00e9 sa s\u0153ur, Hannah Johns, dans le r\u00f4le de titre, avec les amis Carrie Rooks en Naomi et Kyle Henry en Boaz.<\/p>\n

Richie et ses producteurs associ\u00e9s ont fait usage des ressources steadicam et de drones disponibles par l’\u00e9cole secondaire Claymont, o\u00f9  Richie a obtenu son dipl\u00f4me en mai.<\/p>\n

Lorsque nous \u00e9tions petits enfants, nous avions l’habitude de faire toutes sortes de vid\u00e9os \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Johns.  \u00ab\u00a0Finalement, j’ai rejoint mon professeur Chad Shoemaker pour faire un film de science-fiction de longue dur\u00e9e. C’\u00e9tait une activit\u00e9 apr\u00e8s-\u00e9cole et je l’ai tellement aim\u00e9 que j’ai quitt\u00e9 le basket-ball l’ann\u00e9e suivante. \u00ab\u00a0<\/p>\n

Les entreprises locales ont soutenu le projet en rendant leurs emplacements disponibles et en fournissant un soutien en nature. Le financement du projet est venu de dons priv\u00e9s et d’ entreprises, ainsi que d’un petit budget de l’\u00c9glise. <\/p>\n

Servir mon \u00c9glise reste le but de me conduire en avant \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Johns.<\/p>\n

En plus du film, Johns a cr\u00e9\u00e9 un programme et un guide de discussion en petit groupe en utilisant des clips du film  pour une utilisation dans les \u00e9tudes bibliques ou les cours d’\u00e9cole du dimanche. Les \u00c9glises dans cinq \u00c9tats ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 demand\u00e9 \u00e0 accueillir des d\u00e9pistages.<\/p>\n

Je suis si reconnaissant \u00e0 mon mentor, Douglas Downs et mon pasteur actuel, Brett Warkentine, pour leur inspiration dans ce travail \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Johns.<\/p>\n

Johns assistera \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 Mount Vernon nazar\u00e9enne \u00e0 Mount Vernon, Ohio, cet automne, majeure en \u00e9tudes interculturelles et journalisme \/ production m\u00e9diatique.<\/p>\n

J’esp\u00e8re continuer \u00e0 faire des documentaires et des histoires qui r\u00e9pandent l’\u00c9vangile \u00bb, a-t-il  dit. Ruth ne sera pas le dernier. \u00ab\u00a0<\/p>\n
