L. Wayne Quinn, 82, de Bakersfield, Californie, est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 le 30 ao\u00fbt 2020. Il \u00e9tait un ministre retrait\u00e9, surintendant de district et un plantateur de l’\u00c9glise pionnier.<\/p>\n

Quinn est n\u00e9 le 20 juillet 1928 \u00e0 Dacoma, Oklahoma, \u00e0 Walter et Docia Quinn. Il \u00e9tait l’un des cinq enfants. Il a consacr\u00e9 sa vie au minist\u00e8re \u00e0 l’\u00e2ge de 14 et finirait par obtenir son dipl\u00f4me avec un baccalaur\u00e9at en th\u00e9ologie du Coll\u00e8ge central Pilgrim (maintenant Universit\u00e9 d’Oklahoma Wesleyan). <\/p>\n

Quinn a commenc\u00e9 son premier pastorat \u00e0 Pueblo, Colorado, o\u00f9 il a commenc\u00e9 l’\u00c9glise de Pueblo Belmont du Nazar\u00e9en du sol. C’\u00e9tait sa premi\u00e8re vraie exp\u00e9rience avec la plantation de l’\u00c9glise. <\/p>\n

Selon un article du H\u00e9rald de<\/i><\/a>  Saintet\u00e9, il a vu un compteur de viande dans une \u00e9picerie donnant des bandes de t\u00eate aux enfants, ce qui a entra\u00een\u00e9 la plupart des parents en achetant quelque chose du compteur de viande. Il s’est demand\u00e9 si cela fonctionnerait pour obtenir les familles dans une \u00c9glise. Il l’a fait et apr\u00e8s deux ans \u00e0 Pueblo, il a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 voyager aux \u00c9tats-Unis enseignant ses m\u00e9thodes.<\/p>\n

Il reviendrait \u00e9ventuellement au pastorat, servant dans les \u00c9glises en Californie, au Nouveau-Mexique, \u00e0 Washington et en Louisiane. En 1987, il a pris le leadership du programme Chicago Thrust aux villes<\/a>. C’\u00e9tait un programme de croissance de l’\u00c9glise visant \u00e0 faire grandir l’\u00c9glise dans la partie int\u00e9rieure des grandes villes.<\/p>\n

En mai 1988, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 demand\u00e9 de diriger le district de la c\u00f4te spatiale de Floride (maintenant partie du district de Floride). Il a dirig\u00e9 le district en 1994, lorsqu’il a \u00e9t\u00e9 vot\u00e9 pour devenir le surintendant de district du Mississippi. Il a pris sa retraite un an plus tard.<\/p>\n

Dans sa retraite, il est revenu \u00e0 Bakersfield et a m\u00eame commenc\u00e9 la plantation de l’\u00c9glise, lan\u00e7ant une \u00c9glise dans un centre commercial local. <\/p>\n

Wayne a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 dans la mort par ses parents, Walter et Docia Quinn, son fr\u00e8re, Garnett et les s\u0153urs Opal, Maxine et Jean. Wayne est surv\u00e9cu par sa femme, Alice, les enfants Mark, Janice et Ron, ainsi que de nombreux petits-enfants et arri\u00e8re-petits-enfants et ni\u00e8ces et neveux.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
