Paul Wesley Gamertsfelder, 92, est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 le 14 d\u00e9cembre 2020. Gamertsfelder \u00e9tait un optom\u00e9triste, qui a fond\u00e9 Travail et t\u00e9moin pour l’\u00c9glise du Nazar\u00e9en.<\/p>\n

Paul est n\u00e9 \u00e0 Raymond et Beulah Gamertsfelder le 2 avril 1928. Il a grandi \u00e0 Coshocton, Ohio, dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 de l’\u00e9cole secondaire locale. Il a continu\u00e9 \u00e0 assister \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 Olivet nazar\u00e9enne et a finalement obtenu son dipl\u00f4me de l’\u00c9cole d’optom\u00e9trie de l’Universit\u00e9 d’\u00c9tat de l’Ohio. Il a pratiqu\u00e9 l’optom\u00e9trie \u00e0 Columbus pendant plus de 40 ans et m\u00eame est entr\u00e9 dans les r\u00e9serves de la marine, devenant un commandant avant de prendre sa retraite. <\/p>\n

Le Dr Paul, comme il \u00e9tait affectueusement connu, \u00e9tait le premier homme \u00e9lu \u00e0 servir au Conseil mondial NMI. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 charg\u00e9 d’impliquer les hommes dans le travail des missions et a ainsi fond\u00e9 le programme des Hommes en missions en 1973. Cela deviendrait \u00e9ventuellement ce que nous savons en tant que Travail et t\u00e9moin. <\/p>\n

Gamertsfelder a dirig\u00e9 plus de 60 voyages de mission dans chaque r\u00e9gion du monde. Son programme \u00ab Mission de vue \u00bb a collect\u00e9 des lunettes utilis\u00e9es, o\u00f9 il les a donn\u00e9es \u00e0 des personnes qu’il a rencontr\u00e9es dans le champ de mission qui en avaient besoin. En 2013, le Centre de mission Gamertsfelder a ouvert \u00e0 Frome, Jama\u00efque, qui abrite des installations m\u00e9dicales, optiques, dentaires et \u00e9ducatives. <\/p>\n

Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 dans la mort par deux femmes, Janet Welton Gamertsfelder et Wanda Ritzman Gamertsfelder, deux s\u0153urs, Ruth Bachman et Mary Park et son fr\u00e8re, John Gamertsfelder.<\/p>\n

Il est surv\u00e9cu par sa femme, Ruth Gamertsfelder, sa fille, Adria, son fils, Thomas et un fr\u00e8re, Karl ; six petits-enfants ; 10 arri\u00e8re-petits-enfants et de nombreuses ni\u00e8ces, neveux, beaux-enfants et beaux-petits-enfants.<\/p>\n
