Olivia A. Metcalf a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 surinten dant du district de New York du nord. La nomination a \u00e9t\u00e9 faite par le surintendant g\u00e9n\u00e9ral Carla Sunberg en consultation avec le Comit\u00e9 consultatif de district de New York du nord, le directeur r\u00e9gional \u00c9tats-Unis \/ Canada Stan Reeder et le Conseil des surintendants g\u00e9n\u00e9raux.<\/p>\n

Je suis excit\u00e9 et honor\u00e9 de devenir partenaire de la mission de Dieu avec le district de New York du nord \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Metcalf. L’\u00c9glise du Nazar\u00e9en m’a soulev\u00e9, m’a \u00e9quip\u00e9 et m’a donn\u00e9 le pouvoir d’\u00eatre fid\u00e8le \u00e0 l’appel de Dieu sur ma vie. Servir de cette nouvelle mani\u00e8re est une opportunit\u00e9 de donner en retour \u00e0 une \u00c9glise qui m’a appris \u00e0 aimer J\u00e9sus avec tout ce que je suis et \u00e0 aimer mon voisin comme moi-m\u00eame. \u00ab\u00a0<\/p>\n

Metcalf remplacera Newell Smith, qui a servi de surintendant int\u00e9rimaire depuis juin 2020, prenant bureau le 1 juin 2021. Metcalf sera \u00e9ligible \u00e0 la r\u00e9\u00e9lection \u00e0 l’Assembl\u00e9e de district 2023.<\/p>\n

Metcalf est un ancien de quatri\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration dans l’\u00c9glise du Nazar\u00e9en. Elle a obtenu son dipl\u00f4me de l’Universit\u00e9 nazar\u00e9enne du nord-ouest en 2000 avec un baccalaur\u00e9at en \u00e9tudes religieuses et a re\u00e7u sa ma\u00eetrise de divinit\u00e9 du S\u00e9minaire th\u00e9ologique nazar\u00e9en en 2004. Actuellement, elle poursuit son dipl\u00f4me de m\u00e9decin en minist\u00e8re de NTS. <\/p>\n

Elle et son mari, Dustin Metcalf, ont co-past\u00e9 en Californie et en Idaho, servant plus r\u00e9cemment en tant que co-aum\u00f4niers \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 nazar\u00e9enne du nord-ouest. Elle est la vice-pr\u00e9sidente de l’Organisation des femmes du clerg\u00e9 Wesleyan et sert au Conseil des administrateurs NTS. <\/p>\n
