John Denney, 76, de Springville, Californie, est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 le 5 juin 2024. Il \u00e9tait un surintendant de district retrait\u00e9 qui a dirig\u00e9 le district de Californie sud de 2001 \u00e0 2014. Il a servi de  aminister e en Californie, \u00e0 Idaho et en Oregon.<\/p>\n

John Lee Denney est n\u00e9 le 13 juin 1948 \u00e0 Nampa, Idaho, \u00e0 Roland \u00ab Eugene \u00bb Denney et Marion (Penn) Denney. En 1969, John a rencontr\u00e9 l’amour de sa vie, Sheree Miller, et les deux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mari\u00e9s en 1970. John et Sheree \u00e9taient mari\u00e9s pendant 53 ans et avaient deux enfants, Tiffany et Justin.<\/p>\n

John a obtenu son dipl\u00f4me du Coll\u00e8ge nazar\u00e9en du nord-ouest (maintenant Universit\u00e9) en 1970 avec un baccalaur\u00e9at en \u00e9tudes pr\u00e9-s\u00e9minaire. Il est all\u00e9 \u00e9tudier au S\u00e9minaire th\u00e9ologique nazar\u00e9en, o\u00f9 il a servi de pr\u00e9sident du corps \u00e9tudiant et a gagn\u00e9 une ma\u00eetrise en divinit\u00e9 en 1974.<\/p>\n

John a accept\u00e9 son premier pastorat \u00e0 Middleton, Idaho, \u00e0 l’\u00c9glise Middleton du Nazar\u00e9en en 1975. Il a past\u00e9 \u00e0 Middleton de 1975 \u00e0 1978, o\u00f9 il a \u00e9galement servi de pr\u00e9sident de district des Jeunes nazar\u00e9ens internationaux (NYI) et repr\u00e9sentant au conseil g\u00e9n\u00e9ral NYI pour la r\u00e9gion du nord-ouest.<\/p>\n

De 1978 \u00e0 1983, John a servi au personnel du bureau mondial NYI en tant que directeur haut principal, \u00e9diteur principal de programme d’\u00e9cole secondaire du dimanche et directeur \u00e9ditorial du d\u00e9partement. Pendant ce temps, il a con\u00e7u et produit le nouveau programme d’\u00e9cole du dimanche Mot \/ Action pour la Maison d’\u00e9dition nazar\u00e9enne (maintenant The Foundry Publishing).<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s un passage au Quartier g\u00e9n\u00e9ral nazar\u00e9en, John a \u00e9t\u00e9 appel\u00e9 \u00e0 paster l’\u00c9glise de Rose City du Nazar\u00e9en \u00e0 Portland, Oregon, en 1983. Pendant ce temps, il a \u00e9galement servi au Conseil des administrateurs du Coll\u00e8ge nazar\u00e9en du nord-ouest.<\/p>\n

En 1988, le Denneys a d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9 \u00e0 Porterville, Californie, o\u00f9 John a past\u00e9 l’\u00c9glise de Porterville du Nazar\u00e9en jusqu’en d\u00e9cembre 2000. Tout en pastant \u00e0 \u00ab Port Naz \u00bb, John a servi au Conseil consultatif de district du district de Californie centrale et en tant qu’aum\u00f4nier du d\u00e9partement de police de Porterville.<\/p>\n

En janvier 2001, John a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lu surintendant du district de Californie sud. Pendant ce temps, John a pass\u00e9 12 ans au Conseil des administrateurs de l’Universit\u00e9 Point Loma nazar\u00e9enne, quatre ans en tant que membre du Conseil des administrateurs du S\u00e9minaire th\u00e9ologique nazar\u00e9en et huit ans servant de facilitateur de la zone sud-ouest sur 11 districts et repr\u00e9sentant cette r\u00e9gion sur les Comit\u00e9s de strat\u00e9gie de mission \u00c9tats-Unis \/ Canada.<\/p>\n

John a pris sa retraite de la surintendance en 2014 et a d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9gion de Porterville. Il a continu\u00e9 \u00e0 servir dans la communaut\u00e9 nazar\u00e9enne locale en tant que pasteur int\u00e9rimaire, y compris les \u00c9glises nazar\u00e9ennes Bakersfield Olive Knolls, Bakersfield Ridgeview et Tulare Wayside, respectivement.<\/p>\n

John a aim\u00e9 jouer au golf, ski, passer du temps avec ses petits-enfants, travailler \u00e0 son gymnase local, jouer sa trompette dans l’\u00c9glise et prendre des conduites sc\u00e9niques. Il \u00e9tait la \u00ab personne \u00bb ultime et n’a jamais manqu\u00e9 une opportunit\u00e9 d’interagir avec les gens qui ont crois\u00e9 son chemin. John a aim\u00e9 partager l’\u00c9vangile avec les gens avec lesquels il est venu en contact et souhaitait que tout le monde \u00e0 sa  port\u00e9e sache que J\u00e9sus les aime.<\/p>\n

Il est surv\u00e9cu par sa femme, Sheree (Miller) Denney ; fille, Tiffany Lightfoot ; fils, Justin Denney ; cinq petits-enfants ; fr\u00e8res, Dan, Dave et Daryle Denney ; et sa s\u0153ur, Sue White.<\/p>\n
