MaryLou Riggle, 85, d’Urbana, Ohio, est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 le 5 novembre 2023. Elle \u00e9tait une missionnaire retrait\u00e9e qui a servi pendant 38 ans au Belize, au Costa Rica et au Guatemala.
\nMaryLou est n\u00e9 le 26 avril 1938 au feu Glen et Christena (Souther) Riggle.<\/p>\n

L’appel de MaryLou l’a conduite \u00e0 passer presque 40 ans en tant que missionnaire en Am\u00e9rique centrale et du Sud. Son engagement in\u00e9branlable \u00e0 r\u00e9pandre la Parole de Dieu a enflamm\u00e9 l’espoir et transform\u00e9 d’innombrables vies le long du chemin. <\/p>\n

Pendant son mandat, elle \u00e9tait un professeur et doyen acad\u00e9mique au S\u00e9minaire nazar\u00e9en des Am\u00e9riques \u00e0 San Jose, Costa Rica. Pendant un temps, elle a \u00e9galement servi de surintendante de district. Son leadership \u00e9tait instrumental pour fa\u00e7onner l’esprit et le c\u0153ur des futurs ministres qui feraient eux-m\u00eames un impact profond. Ses conseils et son enthousiasme infectieux ont encourag\u00e9 les autres \u00e0 embrasser enti\u00e8rement leur foi.<\/p>\n

Malgr\u00e9 ses nombreuses r\u00e9alisations, MaryLou est rest\u00e9e humble et s’est consacr\u00e9e aux plaisirs simples qui ont apport\u00e9 sa joie. Une amante des livres, elle pourrait souvent \u00eatre trouv\u00e9e immerg\u00e9e dans une histoire captivante ou captiv\u00e9e dans une d\u00e9votion provocante de pens\u00e9e. En tant que membre du programme des Amis de la biblioth\u00e8que, Mary Lou a partag\u00e9 sa passion pour la litt\u00e9rature en cataloguant avec diligence et alphab\u00e9tisant chaque livre qu’elle a lu – un t\u00e9moignage de sa nature m\u00e9ticuleuse.<\/p>\n

MaryLou a tir\u00e9 de la force de moments calmes pass\u00e9s en introspection avec Dieu et ces p\u00e9riodes r\u00e9flexives lui ont permis d’approfondir davantage sa foi et de chercher du r\u00e9confort pendant les temps difficiles. Son engagement in\u00e9branlable \u00e0 vivre ses croyances a \u00e9t\u00e9 illustr\u00e9 par divers r\u00f4les au sein de l’\u00c9glise urbaine du Nazar\u00e9en. <\/p>\n

En tant qu’ancien ordonn\u00e9 et membre de longue date, MaryLou a enseign\u00e9 des cours d’\u00e9cole du dimanche, a dirig\u00e9 le programme Grief Share, a aid\u00e9 au bureau de l’\u00c9glise et a servi de pr\u00e9sident des missions internationales nazar\u00e9ennes. Son d\u00e9vouement et son c\u0153ur de serviteur ont inspir\u00e9 beaucoup.<\/p>\n

MaryLou a poursuivi les connaissances avec une d\u00e9termination inflexible et son \u00e9ducation \u00e9tait \u00e9tendue. Elle a gagn\u00e9 un docteur en th\u00e9ologie – un t\u00e9moignage de sa curiosit\u00e9 intellectuelle et de son d\u00e9sir de grandir en sagesse et en compr\u00e9hension continuellement.<\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9c\u00e8s de MaryLou laisse un vide dans la vie de ceux qui l’ont aim\u00e9e le plus. Elle est surv\u00e9cue par son fr\u00e8re, Walter Riggle ; s\u0153ur, Alice Thompson ; sept ni\u00e8ces et neveux ; de nombreuses grandes-ni\u00e8ces et grand-neveux ; une grande-grande ni\u00e8ce ; et plusieurs cousins.<\/p>\n

Une visite pour honorer la vie de MaryLou se produira le 18 novembre 2023 \u00e0 l’\u00c9glise urbaine du Nazar\u00e9en \u00e0 Urbana, Ohio. Les amis et les \u00eatres aim\u00e9s sont invit\u00e9s \u00e0 payer leur respect entre 11 a.m. et 1 p.m. <\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s la visite, un service de c\u00e9l\u00e9bration de la vie commencera \u00e0 1 h au m\u00eame endroit. Par la suite, MaryLou sera couch\u00e9 pour se reposer au cimeti\u00e8re Oak Dale.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
