La carri\u00e8re distingu\u00e9e de Bowling dans l’enseignement sup\u00e9rieur chr\u00e9tien s’\u00e9tend sur trois d\u00e9cennies en tant que pr\u00e9sident de l’Universit\u00e9 Olivet nazar\u00e9enne ayant servi le plus longtemps. Au-del\u00e0 de son minist\u00e8re et de ses efforts d’enseignement sup\u00e9rieur, Bowling a servi de membre du Conseil d’administration de la Maison d’\u00e9dition nazar\u00e9enne et du Conseil de la Fondation nazar\u00e9enne.
