Mesoamerica Central Field announces new coordinator

Carlos de la Cruz is the new coordinator for the Mesoamerica Central Field.

Carlos de la Cruz was appointed coordinator for the Mesoamerica Central Field by Global Missions Director Verne Ward. The Central Field is made up of Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Puerto Rico.

Mesoamerica Regional Director Carlos Sáenz presented De la Cruz as the new FSC to the field team on 2 September. The presentation meeting was attended by missionaries residing in Costa Rica, the two superintendents of the country's districts, and administrative staff who took time to pray for De la Cruz as well as Sáenz, who previously served as the FSC.

Carlos and Eusebia de la Cruz have served in the Church of the Nazarene for 38 years, including 31 years as pastors in four congregations. They served for 15 years as superintendent of the Dominican Republic Northeastern District and for the past five years they have served as superintendent of the Panama Central District.

Carlos served for 13 years as chairman of the Dominican Nazarene Seminary council while teaching in the distance study program. He also served as vice president of the Church of the Nazarene Dominican Republic national board.

The couple has three married children who serve the Lord and four grandchildren. They also have a daughter who is finishing her university studies.
