En junio de 2017  durante la Asamblea General y las Con<\/a>venciones en Indianapolis, Indiana, Linda Dortch \u00absolo sucedi\u00f3\u00bb sentarse en un banco en el booth de la Regi\u00f3n de Asia-Pac\u00edfico y el  amisionero \u00absolo sucedi\u00f3\u00bb caminar y comenzar una conversaci\u00f3n sobre el ministerio intercultural.<\/p>\n

El misionero era David Potter, que, con su esposa, Sylvia, est\u00e1 ayudando a desarrollar la Iglesia de la Nazarena en la naci\u00f3n isle\u00f1a de Vanuatu. M\u00e1s tarde esa semana, los Potters compartieron con Linda y su esposo, Jim, sobre la necesidad de que alguien  ense\u00f1e ingl\u00e9s en el Colegio Teol\u00f3gico Nazareno del Pac\u00edfico Sur<\/a>. Dado que Linda tiene una extensa experiencia como maestra de ingl\u00e9s como segundo idioma (ESL), ella y Jim acordaron orar sobre esta necesidad.<\/p>\n

Durante las pr\u00f3ximas semanas, la frecuencia de los correos electr\u00f3nicos y las oraciones se convirti\u00f3 en m\u00e1s intensa mientras Jim y Linda exploraron esta posibilidad. El punto de inflexi\u00f3n vino un d\u00eda cuando recordaron sus propias luchas en aprender a hablar espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\n

Cada vez que Dios coloc\u00f3 a un maestro, un tutor, una clase, una oportunidad para que avancemos nuestro camino al pr\u00f3ximo punto de apoyo en espa\u00f1ol, celebramos, dijo la pareja. \u00bfQu\u00e9 si estos estudiantes de ingl\u00e9s en Vanuatu sienten como nos sentimos? \u00bfQu\u00e9 si necesitan a alguien que los ayude a avanzar en su camino a su pr\u00f3ximo punto de apoyo en ingl\u00e9s?<\/p>\n

Jim y Linda sab\u00edan que Dios podr\u00eda usar a otras personas para ir y ense\u00f1ar, pero siguieron pensando en la conversaci\u00f3n que \u00absolo sucedi\u00f3\u00bb en el banco en la Asamblea General.<\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s de mucha oraci\u00f3n, Jim y Linda dijeron ye sto una asignaci\u00f3n a corto plazo. El 23 de enero, la pareja vol\u00f3 a Vanuatu donde ahora est\u00e1n en una asignaci\u00f3n de dos meses como maestros de ingl\u00e9s en SPNTC. Tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n ayudando con grupos de conversaci\u00f3n en ingl\u00e9s como un programa de extensi\u00f3n para la Iglesia local de la Nazarena.<\/p>\n
