Antes de su elecci\u00f3n, Newman sirvi\u00f3 a la Universidad de Indiana Wesleyan como canciller de IWU-Marion. Su asignaci\u00f3n inicial en IWU fue vicepresidente de Relaciones Universitarias. Newman gan\u00f3 una Licenciatura en Artes de la Universidad de Houston Baptist, una Maestr\u00eda del Ministerio de SNU, y un Doctorado en Educaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Spalding con una concentraci\u00f3n en el liderazgo.<\/p>\n
