El Director Regional de \u00c1frica, Filimao Chambo comparti\u00f3 la siguiente carta la semana pasada, llamando a un tiempo de oraci\u00f3n y ayuno.<\/p>\n

La Oficina Regional de \u00c1frica estar\u00e1 cerrada para el trabajo el mi\u00e9rcoles 22 de octubre, y en su lugar nos reuniremos para un d\u00eda  de oraci\u00f3n y ayuno para interceder por aquellos que est\u00e1n sufriendo debido a las tragedias que rodean el virus del \u00c9bola. Nuestros corazones  est\u00e1n rotos mientras escuchamos los informes de compa\u00f1eros nazarenos, compa\u00f1eros cristianos y compa\u00f1eros  seres humanos que sufren en varios pa\u00edses pero especialmente en Sierra Leona, Guinea y Liberia. El virus del \u00c9bola ha sido mortal para la mayor\u00eda de los  que lo contraten que ha producido una ola de miedo y sufrimiento.<\/p>\n

La din\u00e1mica de la sociedad ha cambiado en los pa\u00edses que lidian con el \u00c9bola y la extensi\u00f3n de sus ramificaciones todav\u00eda son a be seen. El miedo que rodea al virus ha causado incertidumbre y p\u00e1nico. Para minimizar el riesgo de estar infectado  y debido al estado abrumado de los servicios m\u00e9dicos, muchos que est\u00e1n en necesidad de la atenci\u00f3n de la salud normal son descuidados.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, en medio del miedo, hay aquellos que est\u00e1n respondiendo a pesar de las consecuencias posiblemente mortales. Res ponden de la compasi\u00f3n y el coraz\u00f3n que ejemplifica a Cristo. Una de estas parejas, El reverendo Joe y Hannah Sonkpah<\/a>, se preocuparon  por la dama embarazada para quien el sistema m\u00e9dico no estaba disponible. Sus actos de compasi\u00f3n resultaron en estar infectados con \u00c9bola.  Han pagado con sus vidas para responder a lo que Dios puso en sus corazones. Son nuestros h\u00e9roes.<\/p>\n

Si bien nosotros en la oficina regional y usted podemos estar a miles de kil\u00f3metros de aquellos que est\u00e1n sufriendo, queremos interceder con el Se\u00f1or en su nombre. Aunque la distancia es lejos, sabemos que el mismo Dios que  escucha nuestras oraciones est\u00e1 caminando entre aquellos que sufren con la infecci\u00f3n o la p\u00e9rdida de la familia y amigos. Es \u00c9l que en \u00faltima instancia puede  consolar y salvar. Que el Se\u00f1or deje que los sacrificios que se hacen en nombre de aquellos que est\u00e1n sufriendo lo traigan gloria  y ojos sin esperanza a \u00c9l.<\/p>\n

Este tiempo de oraci\u00f3n de la oficina es un precursor de una solicitud de NCM \u00c1frica de oraci\u00f3n, el ayuno y el apoyo que ser\u00e1 dado por  cada iglesia nazarena africana entre el 26 de octubre y el 23 de noviembre de 2014.<\/p>\n

\u00danase a la Oficina Regional de \u00c1frica en la oraci\u00f3n y el ayuno el mi\u00e9rcoles 22 de octubre. Luego \u00fanase, como es, con  las iglesias locales en toda \u00c1frica, entre el 26 de octubre y el 23 de noviembre, para orar, ayunar y dar<\/a>.<\/p>\n
