Sirvi\u00f3 como misionera a Chile con su difunto esposo, Boyd Skinner.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Neva Lucile Zimmerman naci\u00f3 el 3 de noviembre de 1923 a Amos y Salome Zimmerman en Decatur, Indiana. Era la \u00faltima de siete hijos, y la familia asisti\u00f3 fielmente a la Iglesia Misionera de West en Berne, Indiana. Conoci\u00f3 a su esposo, Boyd, a trav\u00e9s de un arreglo de su sobrina, que sinti\u00f3 que una mujer que va al trabajo misionero deber\u00eda tener un buen esposo que fue llamado al ministerio. Ella y Boyd estaban casados en 1945.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En noviembre de 1950, fueron a Bolivia como misioneros pioneros patrocinados por la organizaci\u00f3n Juventud del Condado de Hamilton para Cristo. En junio de 1952, se ofrecieron voluntarios para abrir una misi\u00f3n de santidad en Arica, Chile, por lo que viajaron para comenzar a establecer contactos y establecer la fundaci\u00f3n relacional para su trabajo en Chile. M\u00e1s tarde se les unieron dos familias, los MacFarlands y Terrys. Si bien las situaciones de vivienda causaron que los Terrys regresaran a Bolivia, los Skinners y MacFarlands continuaron abriendo nuevas \u00e1reas y nuevas obras todo el camino en las \u00e1reas remotas de las monta\u00f1as.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La Iglesia de la Junta General Nazarena vot\u00f3 en 1962 para aceptar la misi\u00f3n de Chile en sus obras en Am\u00e9rica del Sur y la coloc\u00f3 bajo la jurisdicci\u00f3n del Consejo de Bolivia con Harold Stanfield como superintendente. Los Skinners fueron comisionados como misioneros nazarenos as\u00ed como y regresaron a Chile ese verano para continuar su trabajo oficial en el pa\u00eds con la Iglesia de la Nazarena. Durante los primeros 26 a\u00f1os, estaban involucrados en establecer nuevas iglesias y obras en el pa\u00eds, siendo pioneros en la presencia nazarena all\u00ed, incluida la apertura de cuatro \u00e1reas de distrito.<\/p>\n<p>De 1980 a 1987, Boyd y Neva trabajaron en el seminario en Santiago, Chile. Boyd ense\u00f1\u00f3 algunos cursos mientras Neva sirvi\u00f3 como bibliotecaria, ense\u00f1\u00f3 clases de escribir y era la anfitriona de los invitados del seminario. Disfrut\u00f3 cantar en el coro de su iglesia, leyendo la Palabra de Dios, ense\u00f1ando la Escuela Dominical, y fue considerada una anfitriona fabulosa para actividades juveniles y adultas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fue precedida en la muerte por su esposo, Boyd Skinner.
