Una estafa sofisticada est\u00e1 apuntando a ministros nazarenos y ministros laicos nuevamente. La estafa ha estado apuntando a l\u00edderes de la iglesia en los Estados Unidos y en el pasado se ha extendido a otros pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n

Los estafadores obtienen acceso a una lista de correo electr\u00f3nico o directorio para un distrito o iglesia y personificar\u00e1n a cualquier persona del liderazgo de distrito y regional a los superintendentes generales. Luego enviar\u00e1n un correo electr\u00f3nico o mensaje de texto a m\u00faltiples objetivos pidiendo asistencia. El  Superintendente del Distrito de Maine, Stephen Dillman, tuvo m\u00faltiples pastores en su distrito recibiendo correos electr\u00f3nicos y textos de alguien posando para ser \u00e9l  e incluso recibi\u00f3 uno \u00abde s\u00ed mismo\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan la Iglesia del Consejero General Nazarena Michael Thompson, los estafadores le pedir\u00e1n que compre tarjetas de regalo a Amazon, eBay y otras compa\u00f1\u00edas similares y tome fotos de la parte delantera y la parte posterior con los n\u00fameros de pines. <\/p>\n

Thompson recomienda que si recibe un correo electr\u00f3nico o mensaje de texto como este, debe verificar con la oficina de distrito apropiada o el Centro del Ministerio Global para verificar la identidad del remitente.<\/p>\n

Ning\u00fan l\u00edder de la iglesia debe comunicarse con personas que buscan asistencia financiera. La Iglesia de la Nazarena Manual<\/i>  proh\u00edbe tales solicitudes, incluso si son leg\u00edtimas. Seg\u00fan Manual<\/i> \u00b6155, las personas deben  obtener primero la aprobaci\u00f3n de su o su propio superintendente de distrito. Si la persona afirma ser un superintendente de distrito u otro oficial de la iglesia, debe   ferir al Centro del Ministerio Global, espec\u00edficamente a la oficina del Director de la Misi\u00f3n Global Verne Ward y la oficina del Secretario General Gary Hartke.<\/p>\n
