La Junta de Superintendentes Generales anunci\u00f3 que los Superintendentes Generales Eug\u00e9nio Duarte y David Graves se jubilar\u00e1n en la  30\u00aa Asamblea General, que se celebrar\u00e1 el 9 al 16 de junio de 2023. Ambos son de plazo limitado por el p\u00e1rrafo 305.2 del Manual<\/em>, que establece que un superintendente general no puede ser reelegido si \u00e9l o ella tiene 68 a\u00f1os de edad o m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n

La iglesia est\u00e1 muy agradecida a ambos superintendentes generales que han servido bien a la iglesia, dijo la Presidenta de BGS, Carla Sunberg. Ambos dejar\u00e1n su huella en la vida de la iglesia.<\/p>\n

Eug\u00e9nio Duarte fue elegido en la 27 \u00aa Asamblea General en Orlando, Florida, en junio de 2009. En el momento de su selecci\u00f3n, el nativo de Cabo Verde estaba sirviendo como director regional de \u00c1frica. Tambi\u00e9n ha servido como coordinador de estrategia para cuatro campos en la Regi\u00f3n de \u00c1frica.<\/p>\n

Servir a Dios y nuestra amada Iglesia de la Nazarena en este papel ha sido una experiencia humilde, dijo Duarte. Una de las muchas bendiciones que vienen con la asignaci\u00f3n es la perspectiva desde la que uno llega a conocer a la iglesia. <\/p>\n

Maria Am\u00e9lia y yo hemos aprendido de tantos hermanos y hermanas que hemos tenido el privilegio de servir y crecer con, especialmente mis colegas en la Junta de Superintendentes Generales. Maria Am\u00e9lia y yo extra\u00f1aremos mucho a estas personas y el privilegio. Muy agradecidos, nuestros corazones esperan el desplegar de los planes de Dios para nuestras vidas en los pr\u00f3ximos d\u00edas. <\/p>\n

David Graves tambi\u00e9n fue elegido en la 27 \u00aa Asamblea General en Orlando, Florida. En el momento de su elecci\u00f3n, era el pastor principal de la Iglesia del Colegio de la Nazarena en Olathe, Kansas. Antes de pastorear la Iglesia del College, sirvi\u00f3 como director de los Ministerios de la Escuela Dominical (ahora el Discipleship Nazarena Internacional) para la Iglesia de la Nazarena. <\/p>\n

Ha sido un privilegio real representar a la Iglesia de la Nazarena estos \u00faltimos 14 a\u00f1os, dijo Graves.
