Carol Hunton, 86, de Overland Park, Kansas, muri\u00f3 el 7 de abril de 2024. Era una misionera jubilada que sirvi\u00f3 en Malawi, Zambia, Rodesia (ahora Zimbabwe) y Australia.<\/p>\n

Carol Jeanne Schoenfeldt naci\u00f3 el 5 de diciembre de 1937 a Martin y Lucille Schoenfeldt. Despu\u00e9s de asistir a la Universidad Estatal de Kansas y la Universidad de Kansas para estudiar tecnolog\u00eda m\u00e9dica, regres\u00f3 a Kansas City, donde conoci\u00f3 al amor de su vida, Jay Hunton.<\/p>\n

Carol y Jay estaban casados el 10 de junio de 1960 y comenzaron su vida de ministerio y servicio a la iglesia. Durante los pr\u00f3ximos 39 a\u00f1os, sirvi\u00f3 junto a Jay mientras la llamada de Dios los llev\u00f3 de pastorear iglesias en Maine y Kansas a servir como misioneros en Zambia, Malawi y Rhodesia.<\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s de regresar brevemente a Kansas City, fueron enviados de vuelta al campo de misiones en \u00c1frica Central antes de que Jay fuera nombrado superintendente del Distrito Sur de Australia en 1977. Sirvieron all\u00ed hasta 1982, cuando regresaron al \u00e1rea de Kansas City como pastores de la Iglesia de Nall Avenue de la Nazarena.<\/p>\n

Su pr\u00f3ximo viaje los llev\u00f3 a Schaffhausen, Suiza, donde Jay fue llamado a ser presidente del Colegio B\u00edblico Europeo. Regresaron a los Estados Unidos una vez m\u00e1s, sirviendo en la Iglesia de Santa Rosa de la Nazarena en California antes de jubilarse en 1999.<\/p>\n

A lo largo de esta vida incre\u00edble y a menudo desafiante de servicio, Carol estuvo involucrado activamente con Jay en llegar a las personas para Cristo mientras modelaba la esencia misma del liderazgo del siervo, le\u00eda el obituario<\/a> de la familia. Ejemplific\u00f3 la gracia, la hospitalidad y el amor a todos los que vino en contacto. Nunca conoci\u00f3 a un extra\u00f1o, solo su pr\u00f3ximo invitado de la cena.<\/p>\n

Carol fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres, Martin y Lucille Schoenfeldt, y la hermana Gayle (Schoenfeldt) Glass.<\/p>\n
