Scott M. Whalen fue elegido como superintendente del Distrito Central de Chicago el 13 de abril de 2024. Actualmente sirve como secretario de distrito y superintendente asistente de distrito.<\/p>\n

Esto y agradecido por la oportunidad de servir al Distrito Central de Chicago en este nuevo papel, dijo  Whalen. Amamos a nuestros pastores y las iglesias y estamos emocionados de asociarnos con ellos en este pr\u00f3ximo cap\u00edtulo del ministerio.<\/p>\n

Whalen reemplazar\u00e1 a Larry McKain, que ha servido como superintendente desde 2014.<\/p>\n

Un ex alumno de la Universidad Olivet Nazarena, Whalen ha servido como ministro en Indiana y Illinois. Whalen se gradu\u00f3 con una licenciatura en m\u00fasica de la iglesia en 2004 y recibi\u00f3 una Maestr\u00eda del Ministerio de Olivet en 2015. Actualmente est\u00e1 persiguiendo un Doctor del Ministerio del Seminario Teol\u00f3gico Nazareno, con un enfoque en el Disciplina y la Formaci\u00f3n Espiritual.<\/p>\n

Scott sirvi\u00f3 por primera vez como ministro en la Iglesia de Highland de la Nazarena en Indiana antes de servir a Sterling, Illinois, Primera Iglesia de la Nazarena de 2006 a 2016. Despu\u00e9s de un breve per\u00edodo de servicio en la Primera Iglesia de Peoria de la Nazarena, comenz\u00f3 a servir como secretario de distrito y superintendente de distrito asistente del Distrito Central de Chicago en 2017.<\/p>\n
