Tumbleweed Gulch: Where God’s Love Changes Everything!
God's love changes everything – or at least it can - provided the gospel is presented to someone in a relevant, authentic manner. All people, including children, have a deep-seated need for love and acceptance – to belong to something greater than what can be experienced in isolation. God, by sending His one and only Son into our world, fully demonstrated His willingness to invite us to live and participate in His eternal community of love.
But how do we share the exciting invitation of God to those who live in the world? Well, one way is to create a fun, relevant atmosphere that draws kids into our churches. Vacation Bible School is the perfect summertime program that can connect your church to kids who would not otherwise come. WordAction has created a VBS program that assists you in reaching out to kids and their families in the surrounding neighborhood. We hope that by partnering our curriculum with your creative energy and resources, an ideal mix of chaotic fun and spiritual awareness will be fostered, not just for a few days, but for a lifetime!
You have been asking for themes that are not only fresh and innovative, but easy to set up and decorate. Therefore, with your input, Tumbleweed Gulch was designed with those goals in mind. We took an old, familiar theme and re-cast it into something that speaks to children who live in today's culture. By participating in this zany Wild West VBS adventure, kids will learn about God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ!
