Brooklyn Lindsey, Justice Advocate
What motivates you to work with youth?
The belief that life change is possible, that cycles can be broken, that Jesus is re-writing everyone’s story.
How many years have you been in youth ministry?
What is the best book you have read relating to youth ministry?
Dangerous Wonder, by Michael Yaconelli.
What’s the best advice you can give a youth leader?
Always think about the teen in the seat. Think of them before you think of yourself. Let fighting for their hearts be your motive for everything.
What’s the best advice you can give to parents of youth?
Widen your circle of influence by putting significant adult relationships that are caring and safe in your teen’s life. At least five!
What would you like the church to know about today’s youth?
They are capable of leading great movements. They may not have the experience, but they have the passion to do things that most of us would never dare to attempt. Link your arms with the youth in your community and find out what God can do when you combine your efforts in Jesus’ name.
