Around the globe at almost any point in time, people are suffering the effects of manmade and natural disasters. Hurricanes, tsunamis, tornados, floods, fires, famine, and pandemic disease have wracked our world with devastating loss of life, destruction of property, and alteration of lifestyle for millions of people. Into this world of pain and destruction, we are called to express Christ's love through compassion and giving that break down barriers and allow us to embrace the world's broken and lost. We are called to take the message of "Jesus . . . the Hope" through compassionate evangelism.
The Board of General Superintendents encourages our people to make donations through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries to send much-needed aid to suffering portions of our world. Currently disaster relief is sought for victims of:
• Asia-Pacific Disaster Relief
Two earthquakes, a tsunami, two typhoons, and landslides have claimed more than 1,000 lives and affected millions in the Samoan Islands, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Send relief funds marked "Asia-Pacific Disaster Relief" ACM1200.

Haiti Relief
Funds are needed to continue assistance with recovery from the devastation caused by the multiple hurricanes that hit during this past hurricane season. Send funds marked “Global Disaster Relief” NCMPR0109 (Haiti).

Child Sponsorship
Children and families are supported through poverty, hunger, and all manner of disasters. Multiple programs are available. Visit Child Sponsorhip. Send funds marked "Child Sponsorship" ACM1013.

Checks should be made to Global Treasury Services,
P. O. Box 843116, Kansas City, MO 64184, and marked for the particular relief project for which funds are being donated. Contributions in Canada should be made payable to Church of the Nazarene, 20 Regan Road, Unit 9, Brampton, Ontario L7A 1C3. All donations remitted through the General Treasurer's Office will receive 10% Mission Special Credit if the local church is identified.
