•    Encourage each class to update their Sunday School responsibility list. Be sure names and contact information are correct. Encourage class members to invite absent class members to Sunday School during this emphasis.
•    Introduce the “Connecting the Family of God and the Word” emphasis to the church and to each age Sunday School class.
•    Prepare a bulletin board for the Sunday School emphasis. Include pictures of Sunday School classes and individual members. Also include pictures of outreach events hosted by the Sunday School. Distribute colored index cards to participants in various classes. Have participants write (or draw) how God’s Word is our heritage, story, worldview, moral compass, and foundation – one on each color card. Add these cards to the bulletin board. Use pinking shears along the edges for a fun and decorative effect.
